Body Biotics™ SBO Probiotics Consortia™ is a soil-based probiotic and prebiotic supplement: 8 friendly bacteria strains cultured in their own humic and fulvic acid food source, never freeze-dried, in 90 vegetarian capsules (500 mg).
Body Biotics blends soil-based organisms (SBOs) with lactobacillus and bifidobacterium strains, then dehydrates them together with the prebiotic medium they were grown in. Because the organisms are encapsulated without being separated from their food source, they stay dormant on the shelf and activate when taken with water or juice. The formula has been sold in the U.S. since the 1990s and requires no refrigeration.

Why There Is No CFU Count on the Label
Most probiotics list colony forming units (CFU) counted at the time of manufacture. Body Biotics organisms are packaged dormant inside their own culture medium and multiply after they are activated, so the manufacturer does not print a fixed CFU number on the label.
Suggested Use
Adults: Take 1 capsule a day for the first week, 20–30 minutes before a meal with 6–8 oz of water or juice. Add one capsule per day each week. Most people level off at 4–6 capsules a day for several months, then continue with 2–4 capsules a day for maintenance.
Children 2 and older: Take ½ the adult amount, up to 2–4 capsules per day.
Do not take with hot beverages. Some people notice digestive changes in the first days or weeks while gut flora adjusts; starting low and increasing gradually helps.

Cautions
- Consult your healthcare professional before use, as with any dietary supplement.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or nursing unless you have already been taking Body Biotics for 3–6 months beforehand.
- Not recommended if you take immune-suppressing medication.
- If you take medication for blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar, have it monitored during the first 2–3 weeks, since absorption may change.
- Taking psyllium husk at the same time may reduce results.
