Maitake mushrooms are celebrated worldwide for their rare culinary qualities. Also known as hen of the woods or sheep's head, these bouquet-shaped mushrooms are rich in nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins. Maitake was so valuable in feudal Japan that the mushrooms were used as money or exchanged for silver.
Treasured in Asia for its nourishing properties, maitake is traditionally thought to invigorate and fortify the body's natural processes. It is blended here with organic eleuthero leaf, goji leaf and Solomon's seal rhizome.
