Legend says old Mr. He, lost in the forest for years, lived on the root of a wild vine – and his white hair turned black. That root, Polygonum multiflorum, bears his name: He Shou Wu, known in the West as Fo-Ti.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, He Shou Wu strengthens the Blood and supports the Jing to benefit the hair. Dr. Shen’s Shou Wu contains 90% export-grade He Shou Wu aged five years or more, 5% poria for digestibility and 5% Chuan Xiong to direct the formula upward to the head.
